Meet our Founder
Samantha Woo, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist, Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist, and founder of the proprietary E.M.B.R.A.C.E.® methods for leadership and E.M.B.R.A.C.E. Parenting®. She holds a BA in Neuroscience and Behavior from Wesleyan University, an MSW from California State University, and a Clinical Fellowship from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work.
Samantha's career has been shaped by leading change across complex environments—from supporting her own family through many transitions to guiding her clients in leadership positions in organizations through Covid and beyond. Her clinical training spans group practice, major health systems, a university health center, and behavioral hospital, serving clients from diverse backgrounds.
During the pandemic, Samantha’s practice increasingly served executives and organizational leaders facing sustained disruption. She noticed a consistent pattern: while many organizations emphasized resilience and emotional intelligence, leaders most often received basic stress management tips, not frameworks for truly understanding their responses under pressure or consistently moving toward emotional intelligence.
Drawing on her clinical training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and multifaceted experience with professionals across sectors, Samantha developed E.M.B.R.A.C.E.®—a prescriptive, integrative leadership methodology for emotional intelligence that goes beyond descriptive models. Rather than offering abstract principles, E.M.B.R.A.C.E.® provides actionable, real-time tools that enable leaders to recognize and constructively work with their protective patterns, fostering lasting growth rather than merely managing symptoms.
Her consulting approach focuses on creating conditions where sustainable performance is possible—not through generic resilience tips, but through clinically grounded understanding of how people actually function under sustained pressure.
She is a published author, with her latest book hitting #1 New Release in Organizational Psychology. Samantha has presented for the New York Mental Health Counselors Association, delivered a keynote at Fordham University Graduate School, and consults with technology teams and executives seeking clinically grounded approaches to organizational health.
